Uninstall Existing Flash Player(Step 1)

You can uninstall the player only by using the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller. Follow these steps to download and run the appropriate uninstaller for your system:

1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:
   • Windows: uninstall_flash_player.exe (205 KB) (updated 02/11/2010)
   • Mac OS X, version 10.4 and above: uninstall_flash_player_osx.dmg (338 KB) (updated 10/09/09)
   • Mac OS X, version 10.3 and below: uninstall_flash_player_osx_10.2.dmg (1.3 MB) (updated 05/27/08)
   • Mac OS 8.x, 9.x: uninstall_flash_player.hqx (33 KB)
2. Save the uninstaller file, choosing a location where you can find it - your Windows Desktop, for example. Macintosh users may need to open or unstuff the .hqx file.
3. Quit ALL programs. Check the Windows system tray to make sure no programs are still running. If any programs are using Flash Player, the uninstall will complete but some files may not be deleted. These programs can include web browsers such as Internet Explore, instant messaging clients such as AOL Instant Messenger, stand-alone SWFs, and projectors. If you mistakenly leave any program open, close all programs, and run the uninstaller again.
4. Run the uninstaller. This will remove Adobe Flash Player from your system.
   

Flash Player 10.1 Beta Installation(Step 2)

The following downloads will install Flash Player 10.1 release candidate for Windows, Macintosh and Linux desktop operating systems.

• Download plug-in for Windows (EXE, 2.4 MB)
• Download active-x for Windows – Internet Explorer only (EXE, 2.5 MB)
• Download plug-in for Macintosh (DMG, 7.4 MB)
• Download plug-in for Linux (TAR.GZ, 4.5 MB)

Once you have performed the above steps, please use this link to submit your information to us so that we can verify that you are ready to begin testing. Please allow the tests to complete, enter your email address in the field provided, and click submit.

Use these prerelease uninstallers to remove current prerelease versions of Flash Player from your system.
